About Project
Our Client
Heart of Passion
Heart of Passion is an organization led by teens with cancer to help other teens with cancer build strong emotional support structures and connections. Teen leaders organize retreats for members to meet others going through similar experiences and create lasting memories.
Our Process
Product Scope
Client Goals 🥅
A place to condense budgeting data so each chapter’s teen leaders can plan retreats in a more methodical manner.
End-User Goals ⚽
While leaders and admin can still manually input donation information, the application can also automatically compile online donation information. The application can also present data in a more concise and visually-appealing way without the use of multiple separated tabs and error-prone spreadsheet formulas.
Our Solution
Key Features
Organizing Finances
This interface is built around its ability to track budgets and donations. Each chapter should be able to maintain a separate budget, automatically or manually compile online donation information, and send donations to a specific chapter. Year after year, students will be able to solicit donations from previous donors and track the status and sponsorship level of each donor.
Monitoring Donations
A “fundraising thermometer” will show how far students are from their desired budget. New donations that come in or fundraising will change the display of this thermometer to the new raised amount. Tiered user access allows individual chapters to maintain their own account and admin users, such as the nonprofit founder, to view all chapter budgeting/donation information.
Retreat Planning
A custom calendar screen allows students to plan out an itinerary for each day of the retreat, estimate costs of each activity, track whether activities are confirmed by business partners, and be aware of high-energy activities that need to correspond with a low-energy alternative. Students will also be able to reference previous years’ data for inspiration when planning the current year, and copy over plans as needed.
